The Plaubel Makina 67 is a rangefinder 6×7 medium format camera which has been my main workhorse for MF images. These days I tend to use it even more than my Leica M7, which was my main film camera due to its small size and great image quality. Even the glorious Leica lenses cannot beat the physical size of a 6×7 negative. Add to that the great Nikkor 80mm f/2.8 of the Plaubel and its ultra portable size when folded and you get the reasons why I use this camera so much.
You can watch a short video I did quite some time ago showing how this camera looks like and operates here
The 40mm equivalent in 35mm lens makes it an excellent all around or travel camera. For serious landscape work I will opt for my Fuji GSW690iii, but I have also use the Makina for landscape work with great results.

Fuji Astia 100F is considered to be the slide film for portraits, weddings and generally events with people, since its has a more neutral look than Provia. It’s dynamic range is slightly better, while its lower contrast make it an excellent slide film for scanning. If I want more contrast or saturation, I can add it in post process. It sure is not my preferable landscape slide film, but as you can see for the images, it can produce excellent results.

All images were shot handheld, since I rarely use a tripod with my Makina.
